Atle Tveit ('72) holds a master's degree in Furniture & Spatial Design from the Bergen National Academy of Art and Design. After graduating he established the design collaboration Tveit&Tornøe which in 4 succesful years developed several products for a number of Scandinavian furniture manufacturers. He has won several awards, from the Young Talent Award in 2007, to Designer of The Year 2009 by Bo Bedre Magazine and The Award for Design Excellence by The Norwegian Design Council.

Today Atle Tveit Design is located in Oslo, Norway, and from the old control tower at Fornebu he keeps a steady hand on his projects, either alone or in joint collaboration with other designers.
